Like autumn leaves,
Faint whispers
On an ill wind,
Words unfurl.
Twirling and twisting,
Unkindly they land.
Hauntingly familiar.
Comes a tidal swell,
Where anger lives
Emotions dwell.
Once sharp and jagged,
Pebble, edges quelled on
A storm of time.
Gentle ripples now
Surrounds outer shell.
Stays the mind a moment.
Stop, breathe,
Think it through.
Await the tide
To ponder the truths.
So hard to do!
Or, jump to conclusions,
Dangerous illusions,
Cloud the horizon,
Become disillusion.
Time lost, on wasted energies.
Stay true to the course.
One thing and one thing only,
Your journey,
That is all.
I like these lines and great lesson to live by:
"Time lost, on wasted energies.
Stay true to the course."
